John C. Perez, an Electrical Engineer, has been working for the Shoreline Environmental Research Facility since 1997. He is responsible for the development of data acquisition systems, and has recently become the Director of Sensor Development at SERF. Before that he spent three years working with a state energy-monitoring program out of Kingsville. His interests include embedded systems, intelligent controls, and robotic systems. (M.S.
