How can I remove Spyware from my computer?

There are two free programs that I highly recommend for removing Spyware/Adware from your computer:

SpyBot Search and Destroy can be downloaded here

Ad-aware can be downloaded here

I have both of these programs installed and run each of them once or twice a week. Both can run scans which identify and remove spyware, and both need to be updated on-line from time to time (similar to Norton Anti-virus software) in order to keep up with latest spyware being used by developers.
